| The three of you look around at the room you find yourselves in. You three are in the south-western corner of the room. In the center of the room is a desk and chair of incredible quality. They are richly ornamented and they look like they belong in a royal study. Lining the walls of the eastern half of the room are bookshelves filled with all manners of scrolls and ancient tomes of mystical knowledge. The western half is full of chests. [Edward] You can feel a tingle run up your arms. There is magic here. Click the bar below for an image of the room - Spoiler:

| I walk up to the first chest on the left and examine it. I'm definitely nervous. But the room seems full of promise, and I feel that we're getting closer to rescuing Alfred. Captain and Legolas, examine the rest of the room. I'll take a look at this chest. | |

| (I'm waiting on raziel's post. Also, Grahamsnumber, in addition to coloring your dialogue, you need to include quotation marks) | |

| I have a feeling that we're not making it past this room.
Captain: "Ay sir. Please do use your time reverse spell in case I lose my limbs." Captain lets out a sigh and approaches the bookshelf. Archer dude cautiously follows.

| (raziel, OOC [out of character] posts, like this one, need to be in parentheses) Edward opens the chest nearest the ladder apprehension visible on his face. Looking down into the chest, you discover that it's packed with bolts of the finest silk. As you pick a bolt up and unravel some of it you notice, to your amazement, that it feels like nothing else in the world. It is unbelievably soft, flowing over your fingers like water. (Grahamsnumber, please roll Wits + Larceny + 3)
Sebastian the Captain approaches the bookshelves with justified concern, however, as he begins looking through the books, nothing happens. No blades descend from the ceiling. No pits to alligator infested waters open up. The walls don't start closing in. They are simply normal bookshelves, albiet with unusual books on them. Each book is ornately decorated. Some with valuabe metals, others with intricate designs. The text on the spines looks like nothing you have ever seen and your brain strains to understand it. The longer you stare the more complex the script reveals itself to be. You can tell that the books hold powerful arcane knowledge.

| (hit "post reply" then scroll down the reply page until you see the "Dice Roll" section. It's below the "send" button. select "10 sided Die" from the drop down menu and then in the box next to the drop down menu type in the number of dice you wish to roll. Hit the plus button next to the box and your good to go. Post another dice roll afterwards if you have to re-roll any 10's. remember not to edit any posts with a dice roll in it. if you need to change something you said, simply post another reply) | |

After admitting that they're too inferior to interpret such books, Captain & Archer takes a book each in their hand and takes them to Edward.
Captain: "We hadn't attained the knowledge to read these scripts sir. Perhaps you could take a stab at it."
Archer dude whispers to himself, "I feel stupid."

| I look in wonder at the bolts of cloth. There's something odd about them, something oddly attractive. I reach in and pick one up to feel it. "Captian, come take a look at these. They're very beautiful. Do you sense something strange?" I take the books from the Captain and look at them. "I can try to study these." I do a careful investigation of the books and cloth. | |

| As you rifle through the pages, you see that they are written in Atlantian Runes of Power. Unlike your Sleeper Captain, your Awakened soul can both read and understand the text. The Grimoire contains instructions on how to cast certain high powered Space rotes, however you lack the knowledge of the Space Arcanum required to determine any further information about the nature of the rotes contained within (you didn't need to roll for this because you have 0 Space dots which means it will auto fail). Closing it and looking at the spine, you notice that the book is Entitled Space: Volume 6. Evinrood must have been indeed powerful if he had such an advanced collection of Grimoires. (Edward roll Wits + Gnosis and Intelligence + Investigation) | |

| (he deserves a chance roll!! and Edward should check out the other books to see if he can find any books that has magicy info about his own abilities. We might wanna consider just taking all of the books, they may be useful later. btw, when edward uses the teleporty stone, does he take everything he has on him with him or do they get lost?)
Captain: "My goodness. This silk is amazing. Apparel made of such fabric could be sold to our allies for huge profit for our land. Not to mention it would look pretty fine on you sir. Let us take it back to our castle when we depart this dreadful place."

| "Captain, I agree. We should take as much as possible when we leave." I walk in awe over to the bookshelves. "This book contains powerful spells that I am not able to cast. I want to look through these others." I take out books and begin examining them. | |

| A you peruse the bookshelves you see that each Arcana has a set of books (volumes 1 - 6). You pull out a book of particular interest to you. (click bar for image) - Spoiler:
It's spine reads: "Time: Volume 3". Flipping through it, you see that it contains powerful time rotes. Unlike the Space grimoire, this one contains rotes that you have the ability to learn. (game mechanics wise, you can cast any of the time 3 rotes listed from the MtA book as if you knew them, so long as you have this book with you. casting any rote from the tome that would normally take one turn during combat now takes 2 turns).

| I take the Time tome. I open it to look at what some of the rotes are. "Captain and Legolas, we'll leave the bolts of silk here until we are ready to leave." | |
